About The Position

North American Ownership of Electrical Engineering (E/E), Systems Engineering, & Integration testing & signoff Lead an integrated test community with your (VISE) team hosting broader Ford teams in an all-new, state-of-the-art E/E facility (Ford Road Offices) Leadership of ~60 Ford employees (8 direct reports) plus ~35 Purchased Service employees, with potential for future growth Design and test electrical systems and validate feature functionality for breadboard & prototype vehicle builds E/E feature signoff & documentation prior to critical milestones (~20% of Ford E/E features) EMC testing & signoff (Electromagnetic Compatibility Lab incl. RFI & Antenna Performance) Champion lab equipment deployment & utilization incl. ~90 Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) and breadboard test benches, and an all-new Vehicle-In-the-Loop four-wheel hub dynamometer Pioneer the next generation of testing and edge case detection through automation and simulation Lead engineering actions necessary to ensure facility & testing compliance with evolving corporate and global regulatory requirements Operations & financial management, including: ~$16M annual operating budget coordinated with the Business Office, Ford Land, IT, and Finance to meet cost, quality, and timing objectives ~$14M annual capital investment forecast and spending oversight to maintain, upgrade & improve the lab environment for future testing & validation needs As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. This position is leadership level 5 and ranges from $138,240-261,720. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related.
  • Minimum of 8 years of technical experience, including minimum of 3 years leading teams of over 15 employees.
  • Broad facility, laboratory operations, engineering, and test experience
  • Experience working with key partners in Electrical, Software, ADAS, and Powertrain (ICE & EV)

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science in Engineering or MBA
  • Experience leading teams through structured problem solving, utilizing Engineering First Principals and quality disciplines.
