This role focuses on executing validation and verification tests, defining acceptance criteria, and ensuring regulatory compliance across closures and interior systems. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in Door KLT, SAG, Overload Durability, Oil Canning, Floor Pan Deflection, Tie Down Strength, and Life Cycle testing, along with a strong understanding of FMVSS regulations. Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative, this individual will play a key role in driving robust signoff processes, supporting cross-functional teams, and ensuring safe, reliable vehicle performance.

Requirements

  • Candidates should have a good knowledge and be familiar with Automotive closures and Interior test requirements and standards.
  • Experience with Door KLT, SAG, Overload Durability, Oil Canning, Floor Pan Deflection, Tie Down Strength testing, Life Cycle testing, and a deep understanding of FMVSS regulations (208, 207, 210, 216, 225) is preferred.
  • Automotive OEM experience
  • Engineering Degree needed

Responsibilities

  • Execute validation and verification tests on body system components and subsystems.
  • Define test methods, acceptance criteria, and test environments.
  • Document findings and provide root cause analysis when required.
  • Work with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve test failures.
  • Document test results in detailed engineering reports.
  • Maintain traceability of issues and test findings through issue tracking systems (e.g.: JIRA).
  • Present test results to internal stakeholders and participate in design reviews.
  • Manage, track, and deliver any required test property updates and retrofits.
  • Drive delivery of testing to project milestones.
  • Ensure quality test reports and proper data collection.
  • Deliver efficient test property usage through re-use strategies.
  • Communicate all test results to the cross-functional team.
