Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Electrical Test Technician - 3rd Shift. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segements. The Electrical Test Technician- 3rd Shift role offers a full time work week of 32.5 hours and potential overtime. Hours:10pm - 5am. Full Benefits and 401k plan is offered to you day one of employment. The hourly rate for this position is $29.12 plus $3.00 shift premium per hour. What you’ll do: This position will be responsible for testing and/or modifying electrical equipment post-production, prior to shipment to customers. It will also be responsible for inspecting product functions and monitoring test procedures. In this function you will: • Perform system tests, including IR and dielectric testing, and complete written test reports, logs and records Troubleshoot electrical problems in complex systems • Troubleshoot AC/DC circuitry and printed circuit assemblies to the component level Assemble, set-up programs and perform functional tests on circuit boards • Organize work by receiving work requests; studying wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. • Testing systems and electrical components; determining cause of problems and requirements to solve problems • Use test equipment including digital meter, current meter, out of phase transformer, variac transformer resistive load bank, hi-pot tester, current clamp, computer, and infrared camera • Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and codes
