Under limited direction, the Electrical Supervisor oversees, supervises, and monitors the maintenance, repairs, modifications, and general care for all electrical systems, circuits, and components.This position will use work order management software and data analytics tools for tracking performance and maintenance.Essential Functions: -- Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:Supervise the maintenance, modification, and repair work performed on all electrical systems, equipment, components, and fixtures within the City municipal buildings, facilities, parks, sports complexes, and common areas; ensures functionality and operation for public usage.Monitors employees and documents time, completed work orders, and assignments; prioritizes and assigns work for employees and coordinates activities with other departments.Assists and troubleshoots the installation, modification, and repair of electrical circuits; repairs and replaces receptacles and lighting in office spaces, sewage, garages, exterior of buildings, parks, marinas, and bridges.Manages electrical projects and provides research, planning, and oversight for multiple projects throughout the City; performs field work when needed.Reads and interprets blueprints and designs; determines necessary work to be done and establishes a timeline for completion; prioritizes emergent electrical issues and ensures all work is completed or assigned; schedules staff and attends supervisor meetings; works with contactors and other staff.Keeps, maintains, and drafts records and files on work in process and work completed; provides detailed information on electrical work and tasks still in process; documents plan reviews, construction updates, and project completion.Works, engages, and communicates with other contractors performing general and specialized work throughout the city; assists and supports other contractors in maintenance and electrical repair; procures equipment and materials to complete jobs.Assists and supports management with budget preparation, development, and implementation; provides training and education for new staff engaged in electrical maintenance and repair.Performs other duties as assigned.
