About The Position

Serves as the lead representative for the company at a data center construction site, directing and coordinating the activities of the Electrical group. Provides management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, material, and equipment and ensuring that specifications are being followed.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience supervising Heavy Industrial Electrical projects involving a variety of layout, installation, and construction and maintenance tasks
• Current Journeyman or Master Electrical License preferred
• Data Center experience required
• Open to travel and possible rotating schedule
• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Possess valid drivers’ license with a good driving record
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to walk the property and laydown yards.
• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• overall accountability for job site safety and quality assurance/quality control procedures
• avoid conflicts in timing between crafts
• deal effectively with employees and various levels of customer representatives in order to resolve scheduling problems, determine work priorities, and assess the relative magnitude of project requirements as they impact project scheduling
• define and monitor expected results from each subordinate to ensure achievement relative to work output, quality of work, accidents (both to employees and to equipment) and training
• monitor daily work progress, and evaluating and counseling subordinates, requiring managerial / motivational skills
• writing reports and administering policies
• conduct performance appraisals and recommending wage adjustments
• discipline including termination when warranted
