About The Position

We are looking for a seasoned and hands-on Electrical Superintendent to oversee the field execution of electrical work for a Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) project. This role is critical in leading and supervising crews, ensuring quality installations, maintaining safety standards, and driving productivity on site. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of industrial electrical systems, construction sequencing, and coordination with other trades in complex infrastructure environments. Pay: $58.00- $65.00 per hour DOE The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Requirements

  • 5+ years of field experience in electrical construction, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong background in power distribution, motor control centers, instrumentation wiring, SCADA, lighting, and grounding.
  • Deep knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, local and state codes.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification required or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, automation, and cleanroom protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and around sensitive equipment

Responsibilities

  • Field Supervision Direct and oversee daily activities of electrical subcontractors and in-house crews, including conduit installation, cable pulling, terminations, panel installations, lighting, and grounding systems.
  • Ensure adherence to project drawings, specifications, and electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE).
  • Manage work in coordination with civil, mechanical, and I&C teams to avoid conflicts and delays.
  • Scheduling & Coordination Develop and execute 2-4 week lookahead schedules for electrical scope.
  • Coordinate with general contractor, electrical manager, and the customer to ensure readiness for power tie-ins, inspections, and energization.
  • Track progress and productivity, and advise total manpower or work sequencing as needed to meet project milestones.
  • Quality Assurance & Safety Enforce strict compliance with safety policies and procedures; lead daily toolbox talks and ensure PPE use.
  • Ensure all installations meet quality standards, are properly supported, labeled, and installed per code.
  • Participate in inspections, walkthroughs, and punch list generation and resolution.
  • Material & Equipment Oversight Manage onsite electrical materials, tools, and equipment inventory.
  • Coordinate timely delivery and staging of gear, wire, lighting, and control systems.
  • Review and verify field installation against approved submittals and plans.
  • Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate daily field reports including crew counts, work completed, inspections, and incidents.
  • Assist in updating redline drawings and as-built documentation.
  • Report delays, safety issues, or material shortages to the project manager.
