About The Position

We are seeking resumes for an Electrical Superintendent at our Tomahawk, WI facility. Principle Responsibilities: Supervise the activities of all personnel assigned to the electrical department. Schedule and coordinate electrical maintenance shutdowns, repairs, and construction work in cooperation with the mechanical maintenance area, operating departments, and plant engineering department. Assist with the development and administration of the electrical maintenance budget. Direct the administration of company policy and programs pertaining to the performance, training, safety, and morale of all personnel under the Electrical Superintendent's supervision. Cooperate in the establishment and continuance of the safety program to educate the foreman and hourly workers in safe work methods and have a comprehensive knowledge of possible electrical safety hazards in the mill. Keep the Maintenance Manager informed of all current and long-range personnel and maintenance opportunities and plans. Must work closely with the Controls and Instrumentation Superintendent. Must have knowledge and leadership abilities to provide planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance to ensure utilization of our capital and human resources. Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and information on all machinery, equipment, and buildings. Coordinate activities with outside contractors working in this area of responsibility. Must participate in weekend duty on call rotation. Be sure that mill rules are enforced and that company policies are followed. Other duties assigned by Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Engineering.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and follow up skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in setting priorities and delegating, analytical problem solving, and facilitating in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Must be able to function and contribute within a team environment including all levels of management.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be authorized to work in U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Five years in engineering preferred, with two of those years in the pulp and paper industry.
  • Five years in plant electrical work along with demonstrated supervisory experience preferred.
