Electrical /Software Engineer Intern
About The Position
Quantic BEI is seeking a motivated Electrical and/or Software Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work on custom electronics and embedded systems designed for extreme environments supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense applications. Requirements
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering
- Foundation in circuit theory and/or embedded systems
- Programming experience (C, C++, Python, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, etc.)
- Microcontrollers (STM32, ARM, etc.)
- SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, or Ethernet
- Git/version control workflows
Responsibilities
- Assist with circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout
- Support embedded firmware development (C/C++, Python, or similar)
- Help with hardware bring-up, debugging, and prototype testing
- Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, etc.)
- Contribute to system integration and engineering documentation
- Participate in design reviews and technical problem-solving
