About The Position

The Electrical Service Department Manager to lead our commercial service operations. This role involves supervising and scheduling technicians, managing customer relationships, and ensuring safe, efficient service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, hold a journeyman or master electrician license, and possess proven leadership and communication skills. Key responsibilities include technical support, project estimation, contract negotiation, and cross-department coordination. Experience in establishing internal processes for service call intake, dispatching, labor coordination, and software implementation is highly valued. A valid driver’s license, proficiency in office applications, and flexibility to work non-standard schedules are required.

Requirements

  • Licensed journeyman or master electrician preferred
  • Strong electrical systems knowledge and service experience
  • Familiarity with electrical design and work order software
  • Proven leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical management or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and support service technicians
  • Lead team meetings, training, and enforce safety policies
  • Manage customer relations, resolve issues, and oversee contracts
  • Coordinate with dispatch and other departments for efficient service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
  • Monitor inventory, vehicle use, and productivity
  • Provide technical support and perform fieldwork as needed
  • Operate equipment and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Travel to job sites and maintain punctual, safe work habits
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
