We are searching for an Electrical Repair Technician to perform various overhaul, rework, repair, and associated operations on aircraft equipment and components in both standard and non-standard environments to maintain flow of work. This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of any of the following machines: Airvac, Onyx BGA, AOI 3D
  • Welding certification, preferred
  • Knowledge of the following processes such as: Onyx, Sandblaster, Airvac, Press Fit, Swaging, Coating, Solder Mask, among others
  • Knowledge of replacement parts/connectors
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
  • Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
  • Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels; repairs as necessary.
  • Conducts inspection of incoming assemblies/components in accordance with established procedures and technical data.
  • Responsible for performing complete operation checkouts, modifications, disassembly, repairs, reassembly, test calibrations, diagnoses, and correction of problems.
  • Follows repair and return processes to ensure high quality and short cycle time of repair and return.
  • Sets up necessary repair and test facilities.
  • May be required to complete an apprenticeship or training
