Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. What You Will Do: Function Coordinate and direct the daily functions of the Electrical Department. Install, trouble shoot and repair a variety of complex electrical systems and electronic devices. Direct the daily activities of the Electrical Department such as implementing scheduled jobs/tasks, and oversee work schedule compliance Interact with vendors and energy delivery company to insure power to the facility Keep electrical components of melt systems functioning Perform work to National electrical code Perform Continuous Improvement initiatives May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills Perform repair work on Powder manufacturing equipment Work with preventive maintenance program and schedules Perform work involving hydraulics and pneumatics Support Continuous Improvement initiatives Interface with stock room for spare parts Perform work on parts using inspection tools and gauges Service and repair Equipment using proper methods, tools and specifications May be re-quired to obtain and maintain training in specific areas Adhere to CORE guidelines and perform CORE duties as required Adhere to all EH & S guidelines, including wearing of required personal protective equipment The position will work a schedule of Monday - Thursday (4x10) 6:00am - 4:00pm (6th shift) Call-in/overtime when required
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Must have a strong attendance record
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Must be able to work hours outside of the regular shift
- Must have good mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to wear a respirator
- The position requires ascending, descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Electrical and electronic trades training or Associates degree
- Read/work from drawing and schematic diagrams
- Use volt-ohm meter and megger
