About The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for managing commercial, infrastructure, and industrial electrical projects, scheduling resources, ensuring that budgets and timelines are met, and managing assigned electricians. The Project Manager acts as the primary point of contact for project inquiries while maintaining a high level of customer service. The Project Manager will display and promote the very best of Balfour Beatty at all times and should promote a positive company image through quality service that exceeds employee and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Construction Management bachelor's degree, or relevant professional experience in the field
  • Solid knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
  • 5+ years of experience with electrical estimating and electrical project management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software products
  • Familiar with Construction Management Software
  • Familiar with cloud-based construction applications
  • Great attitude with a desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Must have excellent conflict resolution, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
  • Must be highly motivated with strong work ethic and excellent written/verbal communication
  • Organized, efficient, and able to multi-task effectively between the duties of a Project Manager & Estimator
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record (DMV report will be pulled with authorization)
  • Clearance on a security background check (criminal record check)

Responsibilities

  • Managing infrastructure & industrial electrical projects, ranging from contract values of $50,000 to $5,000,000 and ensure projects fall within budget, timeline, and quality requirements.
  • Managing subcontractors to include subcontracts, submittals, change orders, closeout documents and any other work pertaining to managing subcontractors.
  • Managing material vendors to include subcontracts, submittals, change orders, closeout documents and any other work pertaining to managing material vendors.
  • Must be meticulous about the safety, environmental and quality requirements of each project.
  • Use budgets to monitor and evaluate performance and to ensure compliance with company objectives.
  • Manage project schedules to meet client commitments.
  • Manage work orders and approve invoices.
  • Manage project deliverables from estimating through closeout stages.
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings - to include but not limited to electrical, communications, fire alarm, security, civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and plumbing.
  • Facilitate project meetings including kick-offs, planning, progress updates, change management, reviews with clients, and lessons learned.
  • Provide weekly, biweekly, or monthly project status report to executive management team.
  • Accurately estimating time and materials required for jobs and providing timely quotes to customers.
  • Manage customer expectations while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Oversee electrical field work, installations, and troubleshooting.
