The Electrical Project Manager (EPM) is responsible for the operational execution, regulatory compliance, licensing management, and scalable delivery of all electrical work performed by DisplayMax. This role owns electrical execution from project kickoff through closeout, while also supporting bidding efforts, identifying new electrical opportunities, and ensuring proper state licensing across current and future markets.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of electrical project management or electrical supervision experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC and multi-state regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing electricians and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all electrical projects from kickoff through closeout.
  • Develop execution plans aligned with master project schedules.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, inspections, and permitting.
  • Manage internal electricians and subcontractor partners.
  • Resolve technical and field execution challenges.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
  • Establish and enforce electrical execution standards.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, state codes, local jurisdictions, and AHJs.
  • Maintain inspection readiness and required documentation.
  • Drive safety and quality expectations across all electrical projects.
  • Hold and maintain all required state electrical licenses, including Michigan (MI) and all states in which DisplayMax operates.
  • Ensure licenses remain active, compliant, and in good standing.
  • Track renewal deadlines, continuing education requirements, and reporting obligations.
  • Maintain a licensing matrix covering all operational states.
  • Plan and secure additional state licenses as DisplayMax expands.
  • Ensure licensing capacity supports company growth strategy.
  • Review drawings and specifications for constructability and regulatory risk.
  • Develop labor models and scope assumptions for electrical bids.
  • Identify permitting, licensing, or inspection constraints during bid review.
  • Provide operational feedback to improve estimating accuracy.
  • Support development of standardized electrical scope packages.
  • Identify electrical add-on scopes within active programs.
  • Recognize repeatable electrical opportunities across clients.
  • Support evaluation of new markets and feasibility of expansion.
  • Help build repeatable execution processes for multi-site rollouts.
  • Contribute to long-term structure and scalability of the Electrical Division.
  • Track labor productivity and cost performance against estimates.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and cost control.
  • Manage approved change orders and scope adjustments.
  • Identify risks early and escalate with solutions.
  • Support post-project reviews and continuous improvement.
