About The Position
Canyon State Electric is offering a 4 week Pre‑Apprentice position designed to provide hands-on learning and exposure to the electrical trade. Pre‑apprentices will support electrical projects, learn foundational skills, and gain practical experience while working alongside experienced electricians. This role introduces participants to the trade and helps prepare them for potential entry into an apprenticeship program.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a high school partnered program
- Able and willing to commit to uninterrupted attendance for the full four-week program
Nice To Haves
- Prior electrical trade education preferred
Responsibilities
- Requires daily on-site attendance
- Knowledge of the construction process
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Able to complete a full day's assignment involving one or more of the following: bending, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, and pulling.
- Construction equipment proficiency
- OSHA Certified Preferred - CSE will provide training if needed!
- Strong time management skills
