At GHD we are looking for a new Electrical Power Intern to join the Engineering Design team at out Baton Rouge, LA office. In this role you will assist in research and designing of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. Be part of the dynamic culture! Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Improvement/Innovation: Implement improvements and provide feedback on them. Use change management systems and protocols to provide routine support services. Solution Development: Carry out a range of solution development and engineering activities. Engineering Solutions Design: Implement engineering solutions, under supervision, to provide feedback and contribute to validation of the design. Engineering Standards Specification: Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards. Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as informal training and coaching.

Requirements

  • Education Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or equivalent Bachelor's or Master’s degree program
  • General Experience: No experience required.
