SUMMARY Working cell leader who in addition to building electrical panels will assist supervisor with daily work assignment and direct employees who report to the Electrical Panel Shop. Additional work area assignments may apply. Promoting safety daily making sure the environment is safe at all times. Responsible for entering labor daily accurately and truthful. Capability to lead and train employees in your department. Making sure that all tasks given are completed daily through production. Ability to read schematics and blueprints. Help keep a positive atmosphere amongst employees. Have the drive to meet any and all expectations given by supervisor daily, weekly and monthly for production. Producing accurate hours in jobs and meeting the allotted hours given to your department. Assure that the work has the best quality. Performing punch lists through checkmate (Will be trained). Giving accurate information on tollgates and training.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • Blueprint and schematic reading, use of measuring devices and good mechanical and electrical aptitude, use of hand and power tools.
  • Prior experience as an electrical wireperson and or experience in the electrical panel shop is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures electrical panels are built per the production schedule to meet scheduled ship dates and planned labor targets.
  • Directs and assists electrical panel shop employees with daily work assignments.
  • Ensures daily labor is entered and inprocess check sheets are completed as required.
  • Responsible for safety awareness and enforcement of safety practices (including the use of PPE).
  • Assists supervisor with skills and knowledge development of existing and new employees.
  • Additional duties may be assigned with production floor electrical wiring, assembly & other areas as deemed necessary.
