About The Position

We are seeking a Electrical / Mechanical Technician for assignment in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant, and related equipment, on an assigned shift. Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
A valid Drivers License
A general understanding of 480V 3 phase power sourcing and troubleshooting
Experience with troubleshooting 3 phase motors and VFD control panels
Basic knowledge in 120V relay control circuits and transformers
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic powered systems
Welding experience with a MIG welder

Nice To Haves

HVAC system experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment relating to wastewater treatment
Lubricating equipment, assessing gear boxes and drives for malfunctions
Taking and recording preventative maintenance measurements
Replacing packing or mechanical seals for various pumps or valves
Using the SCADA system to identify faults with equipment throughout the plant
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on processing equipment, HVAC systems and pneumatic/hydraulic systems
Rebuilding or replacing motors, pumps, gearboxes and belt drives
Replacing packing or mechanical seals for various pumps or valves
Clean out pipes and perform other plumbing and pipe fitting tasks as required
Light metal fabrication including cutting, grinding and welding for repairs
Install and set up new or replacement equipment
Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and to prevent recurrences
Observes and reports abnormalities to supervisor
Maintain open communication with operations regarding equipment issues
Record all tasks in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Perform other duties as required
