About The Position

Chase Corporation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the reliability and performance of our manufacturing equipment and systems. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving automation, electrical, and mechanical equipment in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate brings deep multi-craft expertise — particularly in electrical and automation systems — and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative production setting.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience; 5–10 years of multi-craft maintenance experience in an industrial environment, with primary expertise in electrical and automation systems
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and replace AC/DC drives
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code and applicable OSHA requirements
  • Solid understanding of PLC systems with the ability to interpret PLC program code and documentation
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and maintenance diagrams for electrical and mechanical components
  • Basic understanding of mechanical components and effective maintenance practices for a wide range of equipment, including highly automated and technologically advanced machinery
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing demands
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member

Nice To Haves

  • Background in mechanical maintenance disciplines such as welding, machining, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned work orders and troubleshoot automation, electrical, and mechanical equipment problems
  • Perform calibrations and maintain accurate documentation of all work performed, parts used, and follow-up actions required
  • Troubleshoot and replace AC/DC drives as needed
  • Participate in new equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
  • Participate in the Preventive Maintenance program to optimize mechanical efficiency and production flow
  • Recommend and implement corrective and preventive measures to eliminate recurring equipment problems and improve work practices
  • Work closely with production staff leadership to schedule required maintenance and calibrations
  • Maintain appropriate housekeeping standards across all work areas and assist co-workers as needed
  • Perform all tasks consistent with Roles and Responsibilities defined in the company's Standards and Guidelines, and support implementation of program initiatives
  • Provide coverage for absences and vacations within the maintenance department as required
