About The Position

Now Hiring Electrical Maintenance Technicians Electrical Maintenance Experience in a Manufacturing Environment Required First American Resources is a manufacturing company located in Mableton Georgia. We specialize in producing pre-painted aluminum, carbon, and stainless steel. Slitting, spooling, lancing, and stamping are also performed in our integrated facility. We are looking for candidates who are motivated, driven and have the desire to learn to more! Due to our growing demand, we have a day shift ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN position open and offer great internal career advancement opportunities. POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Maintenance Electrician provides installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining of all plant equipment, facilities, and related systems and provides timely service and support to other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years industrial electrical and motor controls experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Initiative to work well with minimal supervision
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to regularly access and work with PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs for troubleshooting, installation and repairs.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a positive presence in the workplace
  • All candidates must be flexible in work hours and hours may vary according to company/production needs.
  • Electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment: 5 years

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman Electrician certificate or relative work experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot equipment failure and provide necessary corrective action.
  • Provide maintenance support and assistance to other departments as requested.
  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Install, rearrange, modify, and overhaul equipment such as transmissions, gearboxes, motors, VFDs, HMIs, etc.
  • Maintain drawings, documents, and complete paperwork as required.
  • Communicate parts and equipment usage and shortages to Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Assist other maintenance technicians as necessary.
  • Participate in safety and other training programs as required.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
