About The Position

AmeriLux International is hiring! We are looking for a hardworking, self-driven, safety-oriented team member for the Shape Maintenance Department to support operations on our second shift (4pm-2:45am). If you are an electrially skilled technican and enjoy a variety of work this is the position for you! Day to day work will vary, you will be expected to help with routine preventative maintenance, mechanical fixes, machine troubleshooting, and more. Requirements

  • Strong electrical experience with commercial property maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical components to make sure they are running effectively.
  • Experience within production or warehouse environment
  • Desire to run and learn factory machinery and production processes
  • Train and operate forklifts, scissors lift and other power tools
  • Ability to work well with other team members with a high degree of enthusiasm
  • Strong multitask and prioritize to suit internal and external customer needs
  • High attention to detail and drive to “do it right the first time”
  • Prioritize Safety- maintain systems and help implement new safety initiatives
  • Desire to learn more and be well rounded in knowledge base
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to develop and manage day to day workflow
  • Experience in welding and light fabrication, carpentry, electrical trouble shooting

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lead a small team or project management experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform variety of preventative maintenance tasks on building, grounds and equipment
  • Support production by seeking opportunities to improve tools and working environment
  • Manage shop supplies and look for opportunities for improvement (quality, cost savings, etc.)
  • Perform routine maintenance to internal equipment that maintains production out put
  • Work with outside contractors on various projects
