This role involves working with AC/DC overhead cranes, motors, PLCs, and distribution systems, ensuring that production and auxiliary equipment are maintained to high standards. Responsibilities include conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, analyzing breakdowns to determine repair actions during downtime, and ensuring adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.   Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-year electrical engineering degree
  • Siemens specific PLC & HMI (WinCC) programming experience
  • Industrial communication protocols experience (IO link, Profinet, Modbus, OPC)
  • AC/DC overhead crane experience
  • Industrial reheat furnace experience
  • Experience working in industrial metal manufacturing
