Requirements

At least 2 years of electrical experience
Able to operate a backhoe
Ability to interpret mechanical, plumbing and structural drawings
Able to lay out parking lot lighting and install pole bases
Ability to think critically and resolve problems
Can communicate and give written instruction in a professional manner
Comfortable with MS Office (EXCEL, Word, Outlook)
Thorough understanding of safety requirements and OSHA guidelines
Able to read and understand blueprints, sketches, labels, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals and written instructions accurately
Must be high school graduate or hold G.E.D.
Must have valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
Install switches, relays, circuit-breaker panels, etc.
Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads.
Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement.
Repair faulty equipment or systems.
