TAMKO is seeking an Instrumentation Technician at our Phillipsburg, Kansas manufacturing facility. The Instrumentation Technician will perform work activities pertaining to automation, electrical safety, reliability standards, inspection, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement. Summary of Essential Job Functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Understands, participates, and follows all applicable safety standards & programs. Uses electronics and electrical test devices to test equipment for safety and efficiency. Performs electrical repairs on various types of electrical equipment per SOP’s and PM’s. Including 480Vac, 3-phase and 120Vac, single phase equipment. Read, understand, and generate standard electrical schematics. Creates and modifies PLC and HMI programs. Selects, installs, configures and calibrates industrial instruments and devices. Bends, hangs and runs conduit where needed. Pulls electrical cable and wire in conduit. Transports and stacks conduit and electrical wire as needed. Trains operators on new systems and updates LOTO and SOP information.
