This position provides proactive leadership, direction, single point accountability and technical expertise required to achieve and sustain optimum reliability, maintainability, and useful life for the manufacturing facility. The primary role of this position is to improve asset/capacity reliability through the elimination of repetitive failures, technical support of the maintenance function and the management of appropriate Preventive and Predictive Maintenance processes. What You’ll Do for Us Resolves day-to-day technical problems on the production lines and ensures equipment and machinery compliance with production procedures and process specifications. Repairs and maintains production equipment, machinery or instruments to ensure that it functions reliably and complies with process specifications. responds to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions etc. to minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes. Maintains maintenance records so that recurring problems can be identified and addressed. Prepare diagrams, drawings, charts, calculations and reports for defining reliability problems and recommending solutions. Reliability data management, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), work order failure code analysis, maintenance of the asset hierarchy, bills of materials, technical library, etc. Advise, provide training in, and implement continuous improvement in the company. Manage and optimize Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Programs including systematically defining, developing, monitoring and refining the preventive/predictive maintenance process in pursuit of optimization. Facilitate Equipment Criticality strategy formulation and ranking sessions, as well as conducting Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Ensure that Predictive Maintenance technologies (e.g., oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonics, online and offline motor testing, etc.) are correctly applied on manufacturing assets. Develop and implement changes to equipment maintenance plans based on failure modes, historical data, reliability principles and best practices. Work with equipment manufacturers factory and site acceptance testing. Develop short and long-term continuous improvement plans to mitigate equipment failures. Design maintenance SOPs, to enable employees to perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
