Duke Energy is seeking an Electrical or I&C Engineer within the Design Support Engineering team at the Engineer I or II level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. The candidate will support the Oconee Nuclear Station, located in Seneca, South Carolina, which is within the Duke Energy Nuclear Fleet. The Oconee Design Support, Electrical and I&C team manages the development, design, and implementation of limited scope plant modifications to Oconee Nuclear Station. The team also supports operations and maintenance questions and troubleshooting on electrical and I&C component issues. The team may lead or support the site response to external and internal inspections and audits. For plant modifications, the individual will be responsible for developing the scope, technical basis, installation, and testing requirements for plant modifications installed in the plant. Ongoing support of assigned engineering changes through work order reviews, corrective action program assignments, and field installation support activities is required. For other activities, the individual will be responsible for researching and developing technical responses to questions or requests. The incumbent will work at the site, within the station's technical team and provide direct support to plant operations and maintenance, primarily in the form of design changes, engineering calculations, and technical support for plant electrical and/or I&C systems and components. Technical topics for work activities could include plant electrical and instrumentation systems, plant control systems, computer software systems, digital systems, security systems, and cyber security.
