About The Position

As an Electrical Foreman, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of electrical construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. Your leadership and technical expertise will be instrumental in guiding a team of electricians and apprentices to deliver high-quality results in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in the electrical construction industry, with a proven track record of successful project leadership.
  • Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician certification.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Commitment to safety and quality excellence.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to overhead position.
  • Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have the balance and dexterity to maneuver around a construction site and must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be drug and alcohol free.
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and climb ladders throughout complete shift.
  • Positive attitude and team player.
  • Adhering to all safety policies, including wearing safety harness and other required equipment.
  • Ability to withstand different climates (extreme heat and other weather).
  • Ability to see.
  • Ability to hear.
  • Ability to communicate audibly with others.
  • Dependability – jobs must be completed within certain timeframes, so workers must be able to fulfill obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of electricians, apprentices, and other personnel, providing guidance, direction, and support throughout the project.
  • Assign tasks, manage work schedules, and ensure that team members adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders in project planning meetings to understand project requirements, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Develop work plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring that project milestones are met and objectives are achieved.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to the team, including interpreting blueprints and schematics, troubleshooting complex electrical systems, and recommending solutions to technical challenges.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work sites and completed installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations.
  • Promote and enforce safety practices at all times, conduct safety meetings, implement safety procedures, and address any safety concerns or violations promptly to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and provide progress updates.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to promote teamwork and productivity.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced team members to help them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • Complete other duties at the discretion of management.
