Electrical Estimator Round Rock, Texas, United States Job Type: Full-Time This Opportunity Doota Industrial America is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our growing team in Round Rock, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for telecommunications and industrial projects. You will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and project management teams to evaluate project requirements, prepare bids, and support successful project execution. Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of estimating experience, preferably within telecommunications, electrical construction, or a related industry.
  • Strong proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Solid mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Effective negotiation and interpersonal skills when working with vendors and clients.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proactive mindset with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, related field, or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Safety-related credentials such as: NESC, OSHA, ANSI, certifications, etc. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine scope, materials, and labor needs.
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and project-related expenses.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive proposals and bid strategies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, and availability information.
  • Develop project timelines and preliminary schedules to support bid submissions.
  • Participate in bid reviews, presentations, and client discussions as needed.
  • Identify project risks, constraints, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure estimates comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
  • Track project progress and update estimates based on scope changes or field conditions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support project documentation and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.
