About The Position

The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed and competitive cost estimates for residential construction projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge of residential electrical systems, blueprint interpretation, and applicable electrical codes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable handling multiple estimates at various stages simultaneously.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential electrical estimating
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes
• Proficiency with electrical estimating software (such as Accubid, McCormick, Bluebeam, or similar platforms)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bids concurrently

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting production-style or high-volume home construction preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for residential electrical projects
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and related documentation
• Develop comprehensive labor and material cost breakdowns
• Collaborate with project managers and field leadership to ensure accurate scope alignment
• Submit complete and competitive bid proposals within required timelines
• Maintain professional relationships with builders and general contractors
• Track awarded contracts and support project transition from estimating to operations
