The Electrical Engineering Technician II, under general supervision, assists with setting up, checking, and correcting operational and experimental electrical machinery, circuitry, and equipment. This role involves repairing and maintaining sophisticated electrical/electronic equipment or systems, interpreting electrical diagrams, and setting up and operating test equipment to evaluate performance of parts and assemblies, recording results. The technician works under pre-established guidelines and engineering specifications.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years related experience.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Understanding of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment.
  • Knowledge of tools, technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with setting up, checking, and correcting operational and experimental electrical machinery, circuitry, and equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains sophisticated electrical/electronic equipment or systems.
  • Interprets electrical diagrams to understand operation of equipment.
  • Sets up and operates test equipment to evaluate performance of parts and assemblies, and record results.
  • Works under a pre-established guidelines and engineering specifications.
