About The Position

Our vision for RMS is to set performance standards for our customers worldwide, every day with the best people, best systems, and best services In this position, the Sr. Electrical Engineer will lead the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects activities and provide EMI design support across multiple programs. They will be performing scientific research, evaluate test plans/procedures, process test data, and perform analyses concerning Electromagnetic Environmental Effects. You understand how the many different pieces of a system work together. Our products involve hundreds of people, processes, and systems, and you’ll need to figure out how the ones that are relevant to your analysis fit together.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7 or more years of professional experience
EMI design, RF or DC Power supply design experience
Experience with Military Standards
Experience performing EMI, RF or Power Supply related analysis
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Security clearance

Nice To Haves

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to support multiple projects in a dynamic environment
EMI test and analysis experience
Experience with lab hardware such as a spectrum analyzer, signal generator, LNA, PA, attenuator, coupler
Interest in EMI design in the areas of grounding, filtering and shielding as it relates to the control of EMI
Strong working knowledge of MIL-STD-461F/G, MIL-STD-464C/D

Responsibilities

Collaboration with cross-functional teams to mitigate interference signals and define EMI/EMC requirements to meet product performance standards
Establishing metrics and identifying opportunities to optimize and or automate EMI engineering efforts.
Lead EMI/EMC design and compliance regarding grounding, shielding, transmission lines, filter design, and other EMI related aspects
Foster a collaborative environment by mentoring and leading teammates, sharing knowledge, and facilitating their technical growth
Draft, review, and modify EMI documentation (Including EMI test plans, test reports, control plans, verification procedures, and integration/analysis reports)
Perform RF Co-site analyses and documentation
Support and troubleshoot testing in the EMI lab
