Position Summary In this role, you will be embedded into our Electrical Engineering teams, applying what you’ve learned in school to exciting technology in the industrial automation industry. You will be placed in our Applied Engineering group based on your interests and skillsets. This is an in-person internship located at our Brooklyn Park Facility This position reports to Engineering Manager

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with standard EE tools (oscilloscope, DMM, voltage meters, etc.)
  • An understanding of basic EE concepts – voltage regulators, inductors, laser diodes, capacitors, resistors

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with software programming
  • Demonstrated experience in embedded system design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Research and qualify electrical and optical components
  • Design analog and digital circuits for photoelectric products.
  • Perform schematic entry and board layout.
  • Evaluate electrical designs and product performance to ensure products meet requirements.
  • Manage product documentation, including bill of materials (BOMs), procedural build documents, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Provide work direction to Technicians as needed.
  • Collaborate with Optical, Mechanical, Software, and Manufacturing Engineers to deliver globally competitive products.
  • Other duties as assigned.
