About The Position

Primary Function of Position As a member of the Digital Design New Product Design team, you will be working on electrical board designs for the current and future da Vinci Multi-Port surgical system. Essential Job Duties Apply your knowledge of digital design and transmission line theory to practical applications Component selection and implementation through schematic capture Simulate solutions where applicable High speed design, characterization, and test Shepherd the design through the PCA design process Board bring-up and troubleshooting Work in a cross-functional team environment

Requirements

• Knowledge of Digital logic design and transmission line theory
• Ability to work well in a team and cross-functional environment
• Ability to communicate effectively (written, oral) with the team
• Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program after the internship.
• Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.
• Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree-seeking program at the Bachelor’s level.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in PCA/B (Printed Circuit Assembly/Board) a plus
• Prior co-op and/or intern experience a plus
