About The Position

Golden Spread Electric Cooperative, Inc. Golden Spread’s 16 Member systems provide service to approximately 320,000 electric meters serving member-consumers located in the Panhandle, South Plains and Edwards Plateau regions of Texas, an area covering 24% of Texas land mass, and in the Oklahoma Panhandle, Southwest Kansas and Southern Colorado. Golden Spread owns two natural gas fueled generation plants and a wind farm, all located within the Panhandle and South Plains regions of Texas. With approximately 1,756 megawatts of owned generation, Golden Spread prides itself on reliably and efficiently meeting Members’ power supply needs with a flexible and diverse generation fleet that can maximize the benefits of participation in both the Southwest Power Pool and the Electric Reliability Council of Texas. The Power Delivery department provides delivery points at the transmission and distribution levels to our 16 Member Cooperatives and manages engagement with the Regional Transmission Organizations and the stakeholder process within them.
