The Electrical Engineering Intern will be assigned to a functional Team Manager and an internship mentor or co-mentors. Work performed will be hands on, may contribute to a project as a whole, but does not directly impact the outcome. At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will have a clear understanding of how their studies directly contribute to their course of study and/or the medical device industry. This is a part-time summer internship position, working with the Research & Development Department at Kestra.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled at an accredited university pursuing an undergraduate degree with a focus in Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Must have completed some classes in analog circuits
- Must have a basic understanding of electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment with Kestra Medical Technologies
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must complete a criminal and employment background screening that meets the allowable FDA requirements and is in accordance with EEOC rules and regulations
- Must complete a pre-internship drug screen
Responsibilities
- The primary focus will be on researching, implementing, and characterizing wireless charging technologies for a wearable medical device.
