YOUR ROLE AT CNG ENGINEERING As an Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to the design of safe, efficient, and sustainable electrical systems that support the communities we serve. You’ll collaborate closely with project teams, support project delivery from concept through construction, and help uphold CNG’s commitment to excellence and equity in the built environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Current Texas Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain Texas licensure
  • 4+ years of MEP electrical design experience in municipal/aviation, education, healthcare, or commercial sectors
  • 1+ years of project management experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Design branch circuit distribution systems for power and lighting in commercial and institutional facilities.
  • Develop overall power distribution systems with clarity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Perform electrical calculations and technical analyses to support sound engineering decisions.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams from project inception through completion.
  • Lead and participate in design and construction meetings with professionalism and accountability.
  • Support strong client relationships through responsive communication and reliable project delivery.
  • Work closely with senior engineers and designers to support project execution and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to a culture of shared knowledge, collaboration, and mutual respect.
  • Perform construction administration tasks, including reviewing submittals and shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and attending CA meetings.
  • Conduct site visits and field observations to ensure designs are implemented as intended.
  • Manage assigned projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed phases of work while maintaining quality standards.
