About The Position

Function as a seconded engineer within a client facility capital projects team. Develop a wide variety of plant power system projects and perform analysis across low-medium-high voltage systems that perform plant power distribution, feeders to equipment, motor control, and electrical reliability-based improvements. Ability to perform power system modeling studies to validate conductor sizing and system protection requirements. Collaborate with plant operations and maintenance staff on work requests and coordinate resources for effective and timely solutions to support ongoing installations. Coordinate design/drafting personnel engaged in developing deliverables. Identify the project critical milestones and ensure that deliverables are completed to meet the commitments. Coordinate requisitioning of vendors for procurement of services, equipment, and materials for project critical deadlines. Adapt to the client culture and learn the measures of success. Comply with the client’s engineering work practices and procedures. Ensure safe work practices are followed and adhered to in every aspect of your assignment. Act in the client's best interests and perform work to industry standards and with the highest regard toward ethical business practices.

Requirements

  • Experience Utilizing Electrical software such as SKM or ETAP is highly valued
  • 5-10 years of relevant project experience from chemical plants or refineries within the consulting engineering environment and/or working at owner-operated facilities.
  • Knowledgeable of industry standards and relevant codes for the design and construction of process equipment installations such as IEEE., ISA, and NEC
  • Background with experience in evaluating Issue-For-Construction Packages with a detailed review of drawings
  • Client-facing role: Excellent communication skills (written and oral) required
  • Experience working in MS Office Suite; Excel for reporting and data
  • Physical ability to view installations within operating complex or remote sites.
  • B.S., Electrical Engineering, Required
  • Current TWIC credentials needed or ability to obtain.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience utilizing SAP or similar Business Enterprise software preferred
  • P.E. or E.I.T. Status is Preferred
