About The Position

Riverhawk Company is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Instrumentation team. As an Electrical Engineer at Riverhawk, you'll take a role in designing, developing, and testing advanced electrical and electromechanical systems for specialized industrial applications. Riverhawk produces eddy current proximity probes for companies like Johnson Controls and Torque Metering Couplings for the power generation and petrochemical markets. This position is best suited for an individual who enjoys hands-on engineering, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and seeing projects through from concept to production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • A minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in an Electrical Engineering role
  • Basic understanding of common electrical components, control systems, and circuit design
  • Familiar with design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, LTspice)
  • Familiarity with Programing languages (C, C#, etc..) preferred
  • Familiar with Mixed-Signal Circuits with both analog and digital elements in a single system. (Analog to Digital Converters, Digital to Analog Converters, and microcontrollers, etc..)
  • Familiarity with Strain gauges and Transforms (rotary) preferred
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • A hands-on, innovative approach and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a working knowledge of all Riverhawk Instrumentation products as related to design, manufacture and operation.
  • Assist in the design, development, and validation of new electrical systems, including embedded and control systems for high-performance industrial products
  • Conduct test on electrical systems and components to ensure functional compatibility and compliance with specifications.
  • Create component and system drawings using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
  • Prepare and Maintain documentation related to design, test, and project or process specifications.
  • Collaborate with senior instrumentation, mechanical and manufacturing engineers, and quality to support project goals
  • Occasional travel to meet with customers, train on product use, or troubleshoot field issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Support certification efforts for new products for Hazardous Locations (North American, UL, IECEx, ATEX, CCC Ex) & EU Regulations (CE, RoHS, REACH, etc.)
