About The Position

As an Electrical Engineer II at Crusoe, you'll be a vital contributor to the layout, design, and seamless integration of electrical systems into our custom power and control products for manufacturing. You'll translate customer requirements into tangible electrical design deliverables, meticulously ensure the accuracy of project materials, and actively identify areas for improvement in our manufacturing processes. We're looking for an Electrical Engineer with at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, construction, or project environment, who possesses a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code and low-voltage power distribution systems. Requirements

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, construction, or project environment.
  • NEC Knowledge: Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Low Voltage Power Distribution Systems: Solid knowledge of the design, building, and maintenance of low voltage (600 volts and below) power distribution systems.
  • Industrial Automation: Solid knowledge of low voltage controls systems, and the ability to specify hardware and components to meet design requirements.
  • Software Proficiency: Solid knowledge of Office-based software and electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) for designing and documenting electrical schematics and power distribution systems.
  • Collaboration Skills: Solid skills in developing and maintaining effective work relationships with production personnel, wiring technicians, and building electricians.
  • Electrical Test Equipment: Solid skills working with, and knowledge of the use of electrical test equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required. Willingness to undergo a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with QA/QC, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and comprehensive documentation.
  • Experience with programmable devices in the area of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motion-control, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical Design Deliverables: Create precise electrical design deliverables for diverse projects, including one-line diagrams, control schematics, comprehensive submittal packages, and accurate bills of materials.
  • Material Accuracy and Review: Confirm the accuracy of project materials quoted to customers, meticulously reviewing vendor bid packages and submittals for technical precision.
  • Electrical Calculations and Component Sizing: Perform detailed branch circuit and feeder calculations on power distribution equipment, expertly specifying and sizing components to meet design requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Production, Procurement, Project Management, and Sales teams to drive continuous improvement opportunities across the product lifecycle.
  • Schematic and Diagram Interpretation: Read, understand, and interpret complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
