About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop electrical systems for both custom equipment units and design/build projects, using Revit and AutoCAD software.

Requirements

  • PE (required)
  • Prior building design experience (required)
  • 2–3 years of experience using Revit in electrical design (required)
  • Strong understanding of NEC and general industry design standards
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and coordination skills

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred)
  • Experience with Visual Lighting software (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Custom Electrical Design (Revit) Develop detailed electrical layouts, including LED lighting fixture specifications
  • Modify electrical symbols, notes, and disconnect schedules to meet project requirements
  • Specify electrical connections and wiring for motors and other components
  • Create one-line diagrams showing all customer-required power connections
  • Produce electrical layouts showing devices, conduit, and wiring routes
  • Coordinate design work with the Project Manager assigned to the project
  • Incorporate optional components such as VFD cabinets, UV lights, and timer switches
  • Compile complete submittal packages including drawings and manufacturer cut sheets
  • Design/Build Electrical Systems (Revit and/or AutoCAD) Design interior and exterior lighting layouts, including circuiting and wiring
  • Specify lighting fixtures and controls compliant with current Energy Code
  • Design power distribution systems (one-line diagrams, load calculations, wire sizing and full Revit models)
  • Perform panelboard, switchboard, and MCC sizing
  • Develop power plans showing receptacles, devices, and telephone/data drops as needed
  • Perform voltage drop calculations for long circuit runs
  • Incorporate fire alarm and site lighting designs as needed
  • Conduct occasional field investigations to verify conditions
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for coordination
  • Coordinate with other trades and disciplines throughout the design process
  • Apply NEC and standard industry practices to all designs
  • Interdisciplinary Support Assist other disciplines by modeling piping, ductwork, and related systems in Revit as needed
