About The Position

GTI Fabrication is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong focus on electrical design and drafting to support modular manufacturing programs. This role is heavily centered on creating and maintaining electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation using SolidWorks Electrical. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure electrical designs are accurate, manufacturable, and aligned with project requirements from concept through production. This is a design-forward, execution-oriented role embedded in the manufacturing lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in electrical engineering, electrical design, or drafting-focused roles
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical, including schematic design and wiring documentation
  • Experience producing electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams for industrial or manufactured systems
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and circuit design
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical power systems and controls
  • Ability to manage multiple design tasks with strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting manufacturing or fabrication environments
  • Familiarity with panel design, harnessing, and field wiring practices
  • Experience working with modular, industrial, or containerized systems
  • Exposure to production support or shop-floor engineering
  • Experience collaborating across mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts using SolidWorks Electrical
  • Create, maintain, and revise electrical drawing packages to support manufacturing and assembly
  • Develop electrical designs for modular systems, industrial equipment, and containerized solutions
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure proper electrical-mechanical integration
  • Apply drafting standards, title blocks, revision control, and documentation best practices
  • Support engineering change requests and update drawings based on production feedback
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure electrical designs meet functional, safety, and manufacturability requirements
  • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical issues during build, test, and integration
  • Provide technical clarification and design support to manufacturing and production teams
