About The Position

We are hiring an Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team! DISCOVER Are you energized by designing smarter, safer, and more reliable electronic systems? In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and sustaining of advanced electrical and electronic solutions, from power controls to IoT‑connected systems that shape the performance, safety, and innovation of Watkins products. As an Electrical Engineer, you will design, analyze, model, and validate electronic circuits; develop and test firmware; evaluate third‑party technologies; and guide product performance through prototyping, testing, and cross‑functional collaboration. Your work will directly influence how our systems communicate, sense, power, and protect, across technologies including WiFi/BLE/LoRa, electrochemical controls, and diverse user‑interface panels. YOUR RIPPLE EFFECT Are you driven to turn requirements into reality? Analyze product requirements using modeling, prototyping, and historical performance data to validate feasibility and drive design decisions. Are you skilled in deep circuit design and analysis? You will perform SPICE analysis, schematic capture, and circuit development using Altium or OrCAD PSPICE; create control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink; and design magnetic components such as EMI filters and inductors. Do you enjoy building foundational technologies? Develop boilerplate firmware and test firmware used across engineering teams and technicians, accelerating development and verification cycles. Are you ready to support products where performance meets the real world? You will troubleshoot challenges at customer sites and with global contract manufacturers, including process audits and validation of system behavior. (Travel up to 10%.) Do you believe clarity builds confidence? Write specifications, engineering reports, release documentation, and hardware change details. Present well‑structured schematics and participate in design reviews. Do you value collaboration and global teamwork? Engage with technical teams in India, China, and Mexico, ensuring alignment, shared understanding, and product success.
