Candidate Duties and Responsibilities Include: This position is specifically for a Hardware in the Loop lab that runs real-time simulations, currently in a MATLAB/Simulink environment using xPc Target, with a need to migrate the current architecture to real-time Red Hawk Linux Provide expertise in electrical engineering best practices and hardware integration efforts Knowledgeable in various aspects of software control schemes for motion systems and real-time simulations Ability to quickly learn new hardware system functionality and corresponding controls software creations

  • Ability to quickly learn new hardware system functionality and corresponding controls software creations
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with Ph.D. Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Background in electrical and computer engineering with an emphasis on controls software
  • Linux Real Time Operating System or Concurrent REDHAWK with SIMWB experience
  • Ethercat networking experience
  • Reflective memory cards and programming experience
  • FLITES experience
  • Nvidia CUDA experience
  • Ability to integrate various camera types into a larger simulation environment using USB, SERIAL, TCP/IP, and other relevant communications protocol standards
  • Experience in integrating hardware built by different vendors and utilizing SDK’s and other operating guides for integration into the main simulation GUI
  • Knowledgeable in standard laboratory devices such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and signal I/O devices
  • Familiar with MATLAB, SIMULINK, C/C++/C#, or Python for software/hardware integration and image processing
  • Familiar with WPF, APP DESIGNER/GUIDE, or PyQt for GUI development
  • Proficient in writing technical documentation in MS word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to be onsite five days a week
  • Experience with Thorlabs and FLIR cameras
  • Expertise with SBIR MIRAGE and other image projection systems
  • Expertise with real time simulation environments
  • Expertise with motion table software controls
  • Expertise using camera SDK’s, API’s, and other dev kits to create custom software
  • TS/SCI clearance
