About The Position

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the electrical infrastructure across the battery cell and energy storage system manufacturing facility. This role ensures the reliability and safety of power distribution, production equipment, and facility electrical systems to support stable manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in facility management, building systems maintenance, or a similar role. (battery or semiconductor a plus).
  • Knowledge of power systems, industrial automation, controls, and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations. local laws and regulations as well as industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in facility management (e.g., Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP)).
  • Experience with energy management and sustainability practices.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the industry or facility type.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and update skills.

Responsibilities

  • Power Distribution Management
  • Maintain high-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems.
  • Support transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, grounding systems, and emergency power networks.
  • Ensure electrical system capacity meets production and facility requirements.
  • Production Equipment Electrical Support
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues for cell production machines, module lines, pack assembly equipment, and test systems.
  • Support installation, calibration, and commissioning of electrical components.
  • Resolve PLC, sensor, HMI, VFD, and control panel issues.
  • Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
  • Create and execute preventive maintenance plans.
  • Respond quickly to electrical failures impacting production.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure electrical installations comply with NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, OSHA, and local codes.
  • Support arc-flash assessment, LOTO compliance, and safety training.
  • Energy & Utility Management:
  • Monitor electrical consumption across cell, module, and pack areas.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and support load analysis.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain Single-Line Diagrams (SLD), equipment manuals, and inspection records.
  • Prepare reports on electrical issues, maintenance activities, and downtime.
  • Vendor and Contractor Management:
  • Coordinate with electrical contractors and equipment suppliers.
  • Review electrical project proposals and conduct acceptance inspections.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with facility staff, management, and other departments to address facility needs and support operational goals.
  • Provide training and support to staff on facility-related procedures and safety practices.
