About The Position

Key Responsibilities Design and evaluate electrical systems for energy efficiency, infrastructure upgrades, and performance-based projects Perform electrical engineering calculations including load analysis, short-circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and power quality assessments Develop drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for electrical systems Support energy audits and site assessments, including data collection and field verification Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, construction teams, and external stakeholders Review contractor submittals and respond to RFIs during construction Support commissioning activities and functional testing of electrical systems Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and local AHJ requirements) Assist in cost estimating, lifecycle analysis, and energy savings calculations Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal engineering standards and best practices Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field 3–7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience (energy services, buildings, or infrastructure preferred) Working knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and building electrical design Familiarity with energy efficiency technologies and building systems Proficiency with engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, ETAP, or similar) Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a project-driven environment Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT with intent to obtain PE Experience in energy performance contracting, ESCO projects, or decarbonization initiatives Knowledge of lighting design, controls, renewable energy systems, or battery storage Experience with commissioning or construction support Familiarity with utility incentive programs and measurement & verification (M&V)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 3–7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience (energy services, buildings, or infrastructure preferred)
  • Working knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and building electrical design
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency technologies and building systems
  • Proficiency with engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, ETAP, or similar)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a project-driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT with intent to obtain PE
  • Experience in energy performance contracting, ESCO projects, or decarbonization initiatives
  • Knowledge of lighting design, controls, renewable energy systems, or battery storage
  • Experience with commissioning or construction support
  • Familiarity with utility incentive programs and measurement & verification (M&V)
