Please see more specific details below: Department: Engineering Supervised By: Design Engineering Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Supervises: N/A POSITION SUMMARY: Designs, develops, and maintains electrical systems and embedded software for company products. Works closely with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software solutions. Provides electrical engineering support for manufacturing projects, improving processes and resolving technical issues related to tooling and test fixtures used in production. Applies knowledge of circuit design, embedded programming, and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • Experience with circuit design, PCB layout, and electrical testing.
  • Working knowledge of embedded programming (C/C++, Visual Basic, or similar).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting manufacturing processes and troubleshooting production equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with developing and maintaining embedded operating systems, including real-time OS environments preferred.
  • Understanding of wireless communication technologies and protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and PCB layouts for new and existing products.
  • Write and maintain embedded code for microcontrollers, PLCs, or other platforms (C/C++, Visual Basic, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain embedded operating systems for company products, ensuring seamless integration with hardware and software components.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical design issues, improve production efficiency, and implement design changes to improve manufacturability.
  • Design electrical systems for tooling and test fixtures to support production and quality assurance processes.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal teams to obtain technical information and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and government regulations.
  • Maintain electrical and software engineering documentation and databases.
  • Assist in establishing project timelines and planning for maximum throughput.
  • Participate in product testing plans and oversee prototype evaluations.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with all safety and company procedures, rules, and regulations to protect themselves and others from known and expected hazards including the use of appropriate PPE.
  • Travel to customer sites or vendors for technical support or project coordination.
  • Represent the company at industry-related conferences or associations as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
