About The Position

ATI Forged Products produces and markets a wide range of specialty metal alloys, including titanium, nickel, and steel forgings to end use markets such as aerospace, energy, oil & gas, and general industrial markets. We have several operating facilities and deliver products to customers globally. We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer. This position is at our Cudahy, WI plant located approximately 5 miles south of Milwaukee. This position provides design, drawings, specifications, instructions and other data pertaining to any or all electrical aspects required for the manufacture, construction, operation, or erection of machines, tools equipment, building or facilities of a degree of simplicity to complexity. Performs experimental, developmental or shop follow-up work under supervision.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to travel

Nice To Haves

Experience in Industrial Electrical Engineering preferred
Progress Database interface familiarity
Familiar with PLC Systems and ladder logic
Understanding of process automation network infrastructures.

Responsibilities

Makes design layouts utilizing the principles of electrical engineering as applied to substations, power distributions, lighting, induction heating, individual machine power and control circuitry, communications systems, or any other electrical installations.
Work from layouts, instructions, specifications or any other requirements.
Be responsible for accuracy, mathematical computations, and functional correctness of designs. Developing new customers
Makes assembly and detailed drawings, prepare bills of material, specification sheets, procedures, instruction, and other technical data. Maintaining and strengthening customer relationships.
Review assigned projects and investigates routine problems concerning the electrical considerations of machinery, tools, equipment, building or facilities.
Work with other engineers, designers, draftsmen and/or representatives of other departments on matters involving requirements or performance of tools, machinery, equipment, buildings or facilities.
Maintain job-working records and prepare reports and correspondence. Responsible for accuracy, mathematical computations of functional correctness of work performed.
Works on assignments as given and is expected to be able to direct technical work of a small group (1 or 2) of technicians, draftsmen and/or other Engineers.
Architect, Modify and Maintain mission critical systems.
Lead/participate in problem-solving activities; engineer and implement solutions.
Lead/participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of new automation systems.
Interact with internal customers, as required, in the performance of job responsibilities.
