About The Position

Amrep Mfg Co LLC is seeking for an Electrical Engineer who will have responsibility to design, document, test, improve and lead the development of electrical devices and/or equipment. This position will also be responsible for managing and developing a team of employees. This candidate will be required to work with all plant departments and will report to the Engineering Manager at our location in Ontario, CA. Salary Range: $95,500 - $110,000 (Based on experience)

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited university
3+ Years electrical engineering experience
3+ Years experience working with CAN bus communication and diagnostics of vehicle components (J1939 Protocol preferred)
3+ Years experience using CAD software (AutoCAD)
Effective in prioritizing and setting deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communications

Nice To Haves

Bilingual preferred but not required (English & Spanish)

Responsibilities

Evaluate electrical system and components to propose and implement improvements
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment (on-site and off-site on occasions)
Create electrical manuals per unit with troubleshooting guidelines
Train team members to understand our electrical system, assembly process and best practices
Communicate with OEMs to facilitate electrical system vehicle integration
Provide electrical engineering support across multiple departments
Perform electrical engineering tasks associated with a project including proposals, design, engineering calculations, and cost estimations
Train technicians how to program vehicle ECUs and ECMs
Ensure a safe and positive work environment
Document electrical schematics
Other duties as assigned
