About The Position

The electrical engineer is responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of electrical equipment in RAE’s HVAC&R equipment.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar (four-year college or university) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 0-5 years of related experience. Knowledge of manufacturing methods used in HVAC&R.
  • Skills: Ability to use Microsoft productivity software. Talented, highly motivated individual with good engineering judgment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to guide and influence others. Must have basic computer skills. Basic electrical understanding is required. Ability to read and interpret Electrical code.

  • Certificates, licenses or training: FE license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.
  • Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks
  • Research and analyze electrical component design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Provide feedback on customer/engineering/purchasing problems and needs for electrical components.
  • Provide feedback on customer/service electrical problems for diagnostics of equipment.
  • Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects, and prepare contract documents.
  • Review and consult on necessary electrical code applications for unit construction (NFPA, UL 508A, UL 1995, etc.)
  • Provide Training for production on electrical requirements for design construction.
  • Attend work as outlined in Employee Handbook and/or specified by your supervisor.
  • Complete other tasks as directed by supervisor.
  • Comply with government regulations, laws, company policies, and company procedures.
