About The Position

Design, plan, layout, site development, and installation of facility and manufacturing electrical equipment. Provide engineering support for plant modifications, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and equipment and procedural training as required. Compare costs against budget. Ensure the efficient functionality of the electrical power grid. Design components for the grid, such as generators, transformers, circuit breakers and transmission lines. Perform solution concept generating, project cost justifying, identifying and qualifying contract bids, assessing and controlling costs, maximizing return on capital projects, and evaluate engineering controls and options to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. Work with Managers to ensure efficient operation of equipment, identify and address process and preventative maintenance improvements. Identify technical problems and practical solutions appropriate to the size and complexity of projects. Identify and support programming. Involve in instrumentation and controls troubleshooting, repair and project development. Provide engineering solutions to management to ensure full process capability and offers suggestions for continuous improvements and capital improvements. Interact, oversee and inspect any contractor work. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to formally communicate projects, costs, recommendations, and concerns to management team. Support production equipment during long hours, nights and /or weekends and participate in the On Call list for plant after hour needs. Salary: $ 129,002-140,000per year.

Requirements

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Automation Engineer, Project Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title performing electrical engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience programming PLC, HMI’s, and AC/DC drives; 5 years of professional experience creating and modifying electrical control systems using AutoCAD; 5 years of professional experience developing, designing, and implementing electrical engineering projects; 5 years of professional experience utilizing PLC programming, HMI, IBA, and SCADA systems; 5 years of professional experience utilizing factory automation equipment; 5 years of professional experience performing Root Cause Failure Analysis on electrical, instrumentation and controls failures and implementing solutions to address root causes of failures; and 5 years of professional experience writing computer programs and custom software applications.
