About The Position

SHINE Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineer who will take ownership in all phases of electrical design, coordination with other internal engineering groups (I&C, Process, Nuclear, Structural, etc.), procurement of equipment, commissioning, and start-up. Hybrid or remote work arrangement will be considered. While our headquarters is located in Janesville, Wisconsin, we welcome applicants from across the U.S. who can effectively collaborate in a virtual environment. Candidates may be asked to travel occasionally for team meetings or onsite engagements, depending on business needs. The base salary range for this position is $86,250-$172,500 annually plus a comprehensive benefit package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code, Life Safety Code, Building Codes, IEEE standards, and IEC standards[JA1.1]
  • Experience with conduits, cable trays, cable selection, terminal/connection drawings, panels, and panel design

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in electrical design meeting NRC regulatory requirements
  • Professional engineering license with the ability to obtain a Wisconsin professional engineering license [JA2.1]
  • Proficiency in Electrical Design tools such as AutoCad Electrical or Solidworks electrical
  • Familiarity with SCADA or PLC systems preferably Allen-Bradley
  • Greenfield Experience – from design through construction and startup

Responsibilities

  • Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and test plans to support the design, new construction, testing, commissioning, in-field troubleshooting and operation of the medical isotope production facility.
  • Work with Procurement organization to procure equipment
  • Monitor and provide guidance to contract engineers and engineers of record for the normal electric power supply system
  • Provide support to Construction by processing requests for information, engineering change requests, work packages, and reviewing document submittals
  • Work with electrical inspectors (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) to assure compliance of SHINE electrical systems
